Wymondham & Frisby CofE Primary Schools celebrate positive SIAMS Reports

Two Leicestershire village schools are celebrating after receiving highly positive SIAMS (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) inspection reports, recognising their strong Christian ethos, inclusive cultures and thriving school communities.
Wymondham Church of England Primary School, a small village school near Melton Mowbray, was praised for its nurturing environment and ambitious vision for pupils. Inspectors highlighted how the school’s Christian vision to “achieve through enjoyment and excellence” underpins school life and enables both pupils and staff to flourish.
The report also recognised the school’s supportive culture, noting that “a culture of care and support permeates throughout the school,” ensuring pupils and adults feel safe, happy and cared for.
With around 34 pupils, Wymondham CE Primary School is a close-knit rural school where strong relationships between staff, pupils and families help children feel valued and supported in their learning and wellbeing.
Meanwhile, Frisby Church of England Primary School, located in the village of Frisby-on-the-Wreake near Melton Mowbray, was also commended in its SIAMS inspection report. Inspectors found that the school’s Christian vision and values shape decision-making across all areas of school life, creating a shared purpose for staff, pupils and leaders.
The inspection highlighted the school’s inclusive and compassionate culture, stating that “serving with compassion is lived consistently in routines and relationships,” helping pupils feel they belong and supporting them to flourish both academically and personally.
Frisby CE Primary School, which has around 100 pupils, is known locally as a welcoming village school with a strong sense of community and close partnership with families and the local church.
Both schools are part of Rise Multi-Academy Trust and play an important role within their rural communities, where staff, parents and pupils work together to create supportive environments where children can learn, grow and succeed.
Jo Westaby, Deputy CEO (Education) at Rise Multi-Academy Trust, said:
“We are incredibly proud of both Wymondham and Frisby Church of England Primary Schools following their glowing SIAMS reports. They highlight the strength of the Christian ethos, the dedication of staff and the caring communities that make these schools such special places for children to learn and grow. It is wonderful to see how their vision and values are helping pupils flourish academically, spiritually and personally.”
The SIAMS inspections recognise how both schools live out their Christian vision in daily school life, ensuring pupils develop strong values, a sense of belonging and the confidence to make a positive difference in their communities.
