Thank you for supporting Children in Need again this year.

We celebrated Harvest Festival in church.

Reverend David led a super service and the children presented work showing careful consideration and understanding of this special time of year. The children sang beautifully and a special well done to Fletcher and Hollie-Anne for leading the actions.

A huge thank you for your generous donations of food which will be taken to the Grantham foodbank.

  • New Library

    Wed 02 Oct 2019

Miss Dobson, Miss Middlemass and Mrs Scott have spent a week creating a comfortable and welcoming library space.

We have three new reading buddies who will be thinking of ways to encourage children to read.

If you have younger or older children who would like to borrow books, the library will be open on Friday mornings.

A huge thank you to Mrs Hill and Mrs Field for finding and donating tub chairs for the library. A generous contribution which will benefit all children and possibly staff at break time!

  • Google Assembly

    Fri 14 Jun 2019

The year 6 children have kindly written a report about the recent Google E-Safety assembly.

On Thursday 13th June we were visited by two Google employees who came to teach us about the dangers of the online world.

They introduced us to a representation of the internet known as Interland. Each part of Interland had a name and they all played a part in keeping us safe on the internet. Interland is inhabited by a species known as Internaughts. They represent us when we are using the internet, but unlike us they are constantly on the internet.

Overall it was a really enjoyable experience and everybody (including the teachers) learned loads.

We hope that School will be open tomorrow 11th December. A decision will be made by the Head and Premises Officer first thing, based on a number of factors, including overnight conditions, safety of the site and the number of staff who can travel from outside the village.

You will be contacted by telephone and ParentMail in the usual way, if the school is closed, and a message will be placed on the website.

  • Visit of Revd David Cowie

    Tue 10 Oct 2017

The recently appointed Priest-in-Charge, Revd David Cowie visited the Class 3 pupils at Wymondham St Peter’s CE Primary School to answer questions about Christianity. The children had previously thought of questions they would like to ask him, including why he wanted to become a vicar and what inspired him to be a Christian. They also asked questions about the bible and the Christian church.

Grace in Year 5 commented, “It was very educational because we learnt about God and it was very interesting because Revd David was happy to share everything he knew about God.”

On Thursday 28th September, the school held its annual Harvest Festival at St Peter’s Church, Wymondham, and generously donated both fresh and dried produce. This was the first service for the children that Revd David Cowie officiated at and he commented how much it had cheered him to see so many children in the church.

In school, the pupils at Wymondham St Peter’s learn about different religions in their RE lessons. Assistant head teacher, Mrs Alyson Chambers, is a Leading RE teacher and supports other schools across the county.

  • Welcome Back

    Fri 01 Sep 2017

After a lovely summer break it was great to see our children returning for a fresh start the new academic year.

Whilst our youngest children are at the start of their new school lives, it was also pleasing to hear about those who left us in July and we wish them well.

Now we welcome our Reception children to what I hope will be a happy, successful and rewarding time at St Peter’s.

For the children who have returned for a new school year, this is a good time to set their sights on being as ambitious as possible during a year of interesting and active opportunities.
