The Great Rise Santa Run
RAINBOWS SANTA FUN RUN – LEICESTERSHIRE TO LAPLAND
On Friday 2nd December 2022, our whole school took part in the Santa Run in aid of the Charity Rainbows, a Children’s Hospice based in Loughborough.
Given the amazing support that has already been shown by both our school community and other sch
ools in Rise MAT, we want to do everything we can to help families going through some incredibly difficult times.
That is why children and staff from Wymondham and across Rise MAT have set themselves a big challenge of collectively running the distance from Leicestershire all the way to Lapland by taking part in Rainbows Santa Fun Runs. We are hoping to run (or walk) a total of 2100 miles!! There will be around 1400 children and hundreds of staff taking part from across the Trust - so every step each person travels genuinely counts to what we think will be a brilliant goal!!
We will be logging how far each child and staff member goes at the school, and any support you can give to Rainbows as part of this would be greatly appreciated. We fully understand how there are many pressures on families at this time of year, but if you can support our fundraising efforts for this amazing charity, it would be hugely appreciated.
Today, we were joined by parents and collectively we ran / walked an impressive 65 miles!!
With just 43 on roll this is a fantastic achievement.
